Finale + JRIC

Like I promised...

The Finale was interesting, before that we came up with a new class cheer, which thankfully wasn't suckish, pretty good actually, tooks us 10 minutes :) Anyway after that we had to design a rocket out of a 1.5 litre bottle and also dress a guy up in an astronaut costume...

Austin gladly volunteered to be the guy to be in the costume, much to our relief...

Anyway I decided to work on the project, and this project was something where I realised what some of my classmates were like. Don't you hate it when a person tries to do everything, not letting you do it at all?

It seems as if he just wants to get all the glory. He wants to do everything, if he can't he gets upset, it's so frustrating that he gets pissed when he can't do everything or become like the whole leader of the group, so no one likes him, and like LK told me, he's cocky. -.-

So that didn't go too well, until he decided to do something else and we got something which sort of resembled a rocket, but pretty pathetic though, kind of like our flag and cheer the first time.

So anyway during the Finale, we saw a parade of all the classes' astronauts... and to everyone's surprise I think 1E's representative was dressed up as Padme Amedala or something like that from Star Wars... It was so funny.

Anyway for once we won something, because we strangely got into the top 5 of the classes after the quiz. Anyway we won the eating the contest... Who eats curry pau?!?

JRIC was interesting, ended up with like 4 balloons and a lot of confetti stuck to the air vent (:

I was nominated for the speech (representing whole Secondary 1 cohort) but ended up being this guy called Rohan from 1H... Most of us didn't like him. Sigh. All my friends who know me from ACS said it should have been me on stage. Oh well. Can't change the past.

Anyway got my badge and everything so it was pretty much normal. According to Max's blog after the JRIC he got thrown into the canteen taps... :) That must have been interesting... It was great... sad... orientation is over. Oh well... Now back to regular school days. :(

Shooting Trials

Shooting trials today.... sucked.

Let's see, we had to do this balance test which was so simple because I've done so much of that in karate, no problem, then we had to hold this piece of paper with our middle and ring finger, and my paper shook because there was this air-con right in front of me... duh. Anyway Gabriel and I got kicked out because "we didn't LOOK strong enough to hold a gun." Duhhhh.... So stupid.

Infinite - Secondary One Orientation Camp

I've been in camp from Monday to Wednesday...

It's the Raffles Institution Orientation Camp... this year's camp is called Infinite (I think)...

Monday was first day, went to school as per normal, came in PE attire... So anyway we had to sing our school song and do some weird command in the morning, so when it came all of us were standing around wondering what to do, and during the school anthem we just looked around and wondered what the lyrics were... (thankfully we've learnt them now)

So anyway Monday night we played this game called Armageddon... So fun.. But there was this guy who was talking and explaining everything to us and it sounded so... wrong...

That was it, then we had dinner and buns for supper and then went to bathe at like 11+, and ended at like 12.30 or something like that, so lights went out at around 1.15, about 2 hours behind time. Even after that, me and my buddy Benjamin Ban were together with Austin and Andre (register 2 and 1 respectively; I'm register 4), the other two went out like a lamp. Meanwhile Ben and I slept at like 3+ or something like that, and we had to wake up at like 5.30 because the wake-up call was at 6 and I wanted to avoid the crowds. Turned out Joshua (Wa-wa) and Edgar (Eggy) were up at like 4.30 so I got woken up at liek 4.45 sleepy and drowsy... Aaaarrrggghhh.

Anyway the next day, morning we had to do morning PT which took so long because no one in our class wanted to lead the cheer so we ran like 3 rounds around the field like crazy waiting for someone to finally lead the cheer. Thanks LK, or my legs would be really sore.

So after that we went out of school! :) Bishan hike! We went to S11 Coffee Shop, The National Scouts Association place, Junction 8, Bishan Stadium, a bubble tea shop and Bishan Community Centre. It was so fun :)

We did all sorts of other stuff like war games, which as so fun... it was so sad when we ran like half the pitch with the other team's flag until they caught us. So sad. Then water games... well... I don't understand my classmates... they shielded Shayne (our SPSL) about like 5 times, because every time they brought him up the field, they brought him right back and again and again and again...

So anyway that night was FRIGHT NIGHT! To be honest it was lame...

So they showed us Coach Carter, and about 1 hour 15 minutes through the show they stopped it and Kirk started telling us ghost stories, a lot of people there were like "Yah, right", "Whatever, they all just trying to scare us lah"... then Kirk said that we would have to do it and guess what? Everyone started clapping and cheering which was so funny. So slowly one by one everyone started leaving, and then Ben looked back and saw like half the whole auditorium missing... :)

We got pulled out later on near the end of the movie... So sad. I never got to watch the end. Anyway we walked and ended up behind 1H, for what reason I don't know... I think we took the wrong path or something, because everyone else from 1J took a different path I think. So anyway we walked and walked without a scare, then suddenly these 2 PSLs just switched on their torches and jumped up at us, so we obviously got scared since we walked so long without a scare...

Anyway later on we walked and there was this PSL just standing smack in the middle of the whole hall... Ben later on said he wanted to kick the fella. Maybe he should have. There was another group which walked and saw this PSL lying on the floor, pretending to be dead and all 3 of them kicked him 1 by 1 without any response from the PSL. He only responded when one of them tried to steal his handphone... Haha :)

So anyway it was fine the rest of the time, nothing much at all. Pathetic... Then we watched Mr Bean's holiday before going off to bed...

Wednesday was the most boring day... Finale I'll post about another time, but before that, well, was talks for like 3 hours straight... So boring. We all wanted to sleep... Zzzzzz....

Camp was fun! I'll post about Finale and JRIC tomorrow... No time... so tired... :(
